Cheers Big Fluff - I gave him a call but no joy. Might be a tricky thing to find, altho Im guessing z550 or Gpz550 will also fit. I think they do exist as Im sure Ive seen photos online of examples

Dresda used to do a steel box section one like the one on my Zed. The person who bought all Dresda's stock had a bedroom full of swingarms , all unlabelled tho , he told me 10 years ago.
Early GPz 550 ( twinshock), z550 should fit too.
Thinking laterally, I see there are alloy copy swingarms for various bikes , and the ebay listing says they can be bought from Thailand. If only you knew someone from there.... :D. Take yours there so they can see the measurements and get an alloy one made up

Ha! Interesting - I also got reply from Z Power and Kawasaki Heaven - no joy. Metmachex site says they stopped making swing arms in 2017, but their website does feature various big Kawa examples, so might drop them a note next... altho I was tempted by a z650 B3 alloy swinging arm, which came with a complete nice bike attached to it also, but was a bit far away

It might fit, maybe with mods. Might be the only way. looks like wheelbase would be extended a few cm. They have been done - here's a underbraced z550 one (maybe based on the zepher) and a z400 turbo

I have one handy if you want to measure what you have vs the the the Zephyr width. Plus i know a lad that has a JMC braced swing arm for a Z650.

yes I presume that old swinging arm is a z500/550? so could measure each width and length. I could check against mine too?

Yea mate, measure what you have in width of axle pivot including any spacers. Length from both the wheel axle and the width between the swingarm arms and ill do the same for you if you want.

seems approx 23cm wide and 46 cm long to mid chain adjuster slot. Seen online that bigger Z Zepher swing arm swaps need bushes made to accommodate smaller spindle

Bushings are easy enough to have made up by someone local or even someone on here, the width of the swingarm is more important so it fits the frame with enough room for spacers. Ill throw a measurement on it tomorrow to be certain of numbers. If its alloy and light and not braced then the Gs1100E is a go to for a lot of lads but hard to find and a wee bit pricey these days.

I have a gpz550 mono shock (unitrak) arm here if you’re happy to weld on a pair of twin shock mounts? Let me know if you’re interested and I’ll send you some pictures over
