Trying to manually set up throttle slider position, but
Sliders have no notch cut out at their base but there
Is a slight arch cut out on their bases on the air filter side
do you still use a 0.6 - 0.7 piece wire if so engine or air filter side
any ideas please

Re: Carburettor adjustment
Hi Mark
what kind of carbs do you have? 26 mm or 28 mm?
No matter what kind of carbs you have, you put the wire on the front of the carbs (engine side).
If there's no notch, you have to put the wire at the bottom, as close to the deepest point you can.
Do you have a shop manual? If not, try to find one. The static carb adjustment is described in there, step by step.
Just keep in mind that if it's the first time you do this, it might take you some tries in order to get the static adjustment correct.
Keep on triyng, you'll get there, don't give up.
Good luck!
Philippe

the differences between a little boy and an adult man is the price and size of their toys!
Re: Carburettor adjustment
Thanks philippe they are 28mm on a z1a
Re: Carburettor adjustment
Just set them all at the same height and make sure the slide adjusters are mid way on their threads.
Once running you will need to vac balance anyway and your "bench set" heights will all change.
