hello, im looking at building another special.....do any of you fine knowledgeable lot know if it is possible to fit z1 bodywork to a z650 frame.
im looking at reproduction tank/ panels etc, but dont want to pull the pin if they wont fit.

They are not a direct fit and will need suitable mounts etc welding on the frame but anything will fit anything if you know how.

yes i realise that anything can be made to fit, but was looking for an easy option. thanks for replying.

The tank is quite straightforward to fit, I put one on a z750 (this has the same frame shape around the headstock and engine) and all that was needed is to weld a piece of bar across the frame for the tank support rubbers.
