Lawson Jigsaw Project
Well then.
So, I proceeded to empty all the boxes & try to get some sort of order, to see just exactly what I have here...
The plan is to dry build it, then strip & send the various parts to paint , powder & polish.
I got to this stage today ....
What I do need to start with is...
* Clock assembly with a key
*Nose fairing & screen
* Starter motor
* a side stand bracket
I'm slowly getting through all the boxes & should have all emptied & on the shelf by tomorrow.
There seems to be lots of GPZ parts.
Also multiple brake discs, mostly all very good.
Multiple Clutches, Dyna S ignition plates, a scruffy kerker
A scruffy Harris, A pretty good V&H.
Some members have asked about parts, I will get back you guys via PM

Thanks Lee,
If you are needing any parts, give me a shout, I'm still going thru
All the boxes, but there seems to be a lot of GPZ & J parts

im thinking of fitting a dyna2000 to mine. so if you have a j ignition case (the housing not the cover) i would be interested.

I got my casing off eBay for £15, you can still buy them new for about 10 times what I paid.

Re: Lawson Jigsaw Project
Doing a bit more today.
Checked out the ignition, I have not seen one like this
Can anyone enlighten me?
Also removed the race alternator cover.
So I will need a starter gear assy & a rotor.
Are the rotors all the same on these ??
Anyone have one they want to part with?

Re: Lawson Jigsaw Project
Looks like GPZ1100 Unitrak to me if it's connected to the Igniter it is probably in a plastic case
Looks like a unitrac output shaft so may be a whole unitrac motor See what the engine number is.

Re: Lawson Jigsaw Project
Z1100R has a Unitrak engine, that ignition pickup is standard Unitrak, if you want to fit a Dyna ignition you'll need a J engine casing
